Nigeria’s Dream Team VI wednesday booked a place in the men’s football event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games with a 1-0 defeat of host Senegal in the semi final of the CAF Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Dakar.

Warri Wolves player Oghenekaro Etebo got the winner when he converted a second half penalty awarded to Nigeria following the handling of the ball in the box by a Senegalese defender.
A mix-up between goalkeeper Ndiaye Seydou and Ousseynou Thioune in the Senegal defence let in Kufre Ebong, but before he could shoot into an empty goal Thioune held on to the ball to be sent off for a professional foul. Etebo sent the Senegalese goalkeeper diving to the wrong side of the goal post during the spot kick.

congratulations to Nigerians and the couching crew.
